Island Brewing announces Rising Tide Double IPA Release Party

Island Brewing in Carpinteria sent out the following release last week announcing its newest Double IPA – Rising Tide. I look forward to trying this one when I get back in town after the Thanksgiving break.

Cheers!

Sean Lewis

On December 1st, we are going to be having release party for our Rising
Tide Double IPA. Sunday, December 1st from 5-7 pm stop in and sample our
newest creation;  A double IPA hopped with Centennial and Zythos hops.
Light in body and hop forward.  Surprisingly drinkable at 9% ABV, 85 IBU.
Free samples and $1.00 off Rising Tide Double IPA on draft.

To make it an even more special event, we will be showing “Triptych”  a film
by Michael Kew followed by a Q&A and book signing of his book, “Crossings”.
Carpinteria’s Michael Kew is a writer, photographer, and filmmaker who first
became involved with magazine production when he was 12. In the 26 years
since, Kew has been published extensively in many surfing and international
travel magazines, newspapers, websites, and books.

About “Crossings”
Ten years of Michael Kew’s travel writings are packed into this 480-page, 4
1/4″ x 6 7/8″ softcover from Peathead Publishing, 35 chapters about 10 of
Earth’s surfiest zones: the Gaels, Polynesia, Scandinavia, Indian Ocean,
Melanesia, Caribbean, Asia, Micronesia, Africa, and Pacific Northwest.
“Crossings” contains no frills nor photos – this is a very basic,
text-only, black-and-white tome. Cover design by Trevor Gordon. If you’d
like a signed copy, you can get one from Kew in person for $20 cash.
